The 36m long, three-masted Zawisza Czarny (The Black Knight) belongs to the Polish Scouting Association (ZHP). A former fishing boat built in Gdansk in 1952, and modernised in 1965 and 1980, the Zawisza Czarny has welcomed more than 15,000 young people aboard. It has sailed in the Baltic and the North Seas, to the Canary Islands, Canada, the United States and the Bahamas, and has recently sailed around Cape Horn.
